Often finding himself in pivotal moments in galactic history, his bravery and ingenuity saved the galaxy on numerous occasions. A smart, spunky droid who would serve a multitude of masters over his lifetime, R2-D2 was never given a full memory wipe (apart from a partial wipe of select information by Cad Bane during the senate hostage crisis) nor did he ever receive new programming, with these factors resulting in an adventurous and independent attitude. R2-D2, pronounced Artoo-Detoo and often referred to as R2 (Artoo), was an R2-series astromech droid manufactured by Industrial Automaton with masculine programming. Like a lot of other people, I also saw the potential of modifying him with an internal camera. Since then, I knew I just had to have one. I was wanted to change the foot design a bit so that the circles on the sides didn't stand out as much. The Hasbro Interactive R2D2 came out in late 2002 I saw one roaming around the very first Philippine Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention at the old Louie's THX Cinema back in 2003. So I completely revamped the interior so it had added stability as well as the front of the body to get the blue utility arms more accurate. I loved TOPACES` head design and several things about the body build. This build is a heavy modified model of TOPACES` R2 (MOC-24364).
